- Knowledge, passion and expertise in the areas of curriculum and pedagogy as well as school culture
- The ability to work collaboratively with the school principal
- The ability to improve student outcomes and enhance teacher practice
- Undertaken further study in Leadership
- A willingness to mentor other school leaders
