On Friday 7 September some of the Grade 6 students were chosen to take part in a Maths Games Day. The event was sponsored by the Mathematics Association of Victoria and was held at Lumen Christi Primary School in Point Cook and there were 18 schools from all over Melbourne that made up the 32 teams participating. The students from St Lawrence had lots of fun getting involved in a range of activities including solving word problems, fast fact quizzes and even some body shape problems. Congratulations to all the students who attended as they placed 11th and 21st overall.
We look forward to continuing to develop the problem solving skills of the students at St Lawrence and participating in the games day again next year.
